Beach Volleyball Coach [Sarasota]

Location: Sarasota, Florida (United States)

Pay Rate: $30 / hour base + commission

Job Type: Part-time (mornings, nights, weekends)

This is your chance to become part of the fastest-growing adult beach volleyball club in Tampa Bay.

Volleyball Solutions is looking to add another talented coach to our team – and it should be you.

Volleyball Solutions, Tampa Bay’s largest beginner-intermediate beach volleyball club is growing and we need a badass beach volleyball coach to help support our expansion into Sarasota, Florida.

Who You Are:

You’d be a great fit as our next kick-ass coach if:

  • You’ve played or coached beach volleyball for at least 2 years
  • You’re an open-level (or higher) beach volleyball player
  • You’re good vibes and are laid back, kind, and fun to be around. Bonus points if you are funny.
  • You want to give back to the game of beach volleyball and train the next generation of players and fans.
  • You don’t take yourself too seriously.
  • You know how to push people without putting them down

What You Bring To The Table:

  • You’re flexible – we’re a startup that is constantly testing new events, concepts, and class styles – and our ideal coach gets excited by new shit.
  • You’re organized – and can keep company equipment (and your schedule) together;
  • You’re dependable – for many of our students, our classes and leagues are the highlight of their week. We take our obligation to them seriously.
  • Your positive, no-intimidation attitude – being a beginner in anything is scary! Our students often go way outside of their comfort zone while they learn with us. You’re able to encourage and motivate them to keep going.
  • Your love of volleyball – and your dedication to always working on your own game
  • A dependable form of transportation – our events and tournaments occasionally require travel.
  • A clean background check

How We Will Work Together

As a Volleyball Solutions coach, you’ll get the chance to run some of our classes and leagues.

  • Classes primarily teach beginner-level players (BB level and under) the basics of beach volleyball, as well as fundamental skills like passing, serving, and serve-receive.
  • Leagues primarily teach beginner-intermediate level players (A level and under) how to play on the court with multiple partners against many different pairs and teams.

The class experience is hands-on, with you directly coaching players and teams using our Volley360 curriculum to help develop fundamentally sound beach volleyball players using game-based concepts.

Meanwhile, the league experience is relaxed. You’ll offer coaching to players between points and rounds and act as a referee and scorekeeper for some games.

We also offer lessons – depending on your experience as a beach volleyball coach.
